Zapraszamy na 16. WARSZAWSKI FESTIWAL FILMÓW O TEMATYCE ŻYDOWSKIEJ, który odbędzie się w dniach 12-18 listopada 2018 r. w Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich POLIN, Kino Praha i JCC Warszawa. W programie znalazło się ponad 30 filmów z Izraela, Polski, Holandii, Stanów Zjednoczonych, Kanady, Rosji, Ukrainy, Francji, Wielkiej Brytanii, Austrii, Węgier, Słowacji, Niemiec i Australii. Tegoroczną edycję dedykujemy zmarłej niedawno izraelskiej aktorce i reżyserce Ronit Elkabetz. Głównym partnerem wydarzenia od 2013 roku pozostaje Muzeum POLIN.
Program festiwalu jest kształtowany przez selekcjonerów w taki sposób, żeby jak najpełniej portretował on współczesne życie żydowskie różnych diaspor oraz państwa Izrael. Na festiwalu zobaczymy też filmy o tematyce historycznej dotyczące tradycji i historii Żydów, a także dzieła poświęcone Zagładzie. W programie znajdą się liczne nowości, premiery polskie i ważne nagradzane na światowych festiwalach produkcje oraz kino zaangażowane. Zaprezentujemy filmy krótko- i długometrażowe, fabularne, animowane i dokumentalne. Poza stałymi punktami programu organizatorzy przygotowali w tym roku nowość: warsztaty kreatywnego pisania Loesje Poland nawiązujące do problematyki filmowej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wątków żydowskich (liczba miejsc ograniczona).

The 16th Warsaw Jewish Film Festival will take place from November 12th to November 18th, 2018 at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Praha Cinema and JCC Warsaw. It is the oldest Jewish film festival in Poland and one of the very first in Europe. his year’s program includes over 30 new films from Israel, the United States, the Netherlands, France, Hungary, Austria, Canada, Russia, Australia, Poland, Ukraine, Great Britain, Slovakia and Germany. The 16th Warsaw Jewish Film Festival is dedicated to the late Israeli actress and director Ronit Elkabetz and will feature a retrospective of her works. As every year, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is the main partner. The organizers are trying to focus on modern Jewish life in the Diaspora and in Israel, films on Jewish history and tradition, as well as films about the Holocaust. This year’s program will feature many new movies, Polish premieres, films awarded at international festivals and socially conscious productions: shorts and feature films, animations and documentaries, as well as LOESJE creative writing workshops dedicated to film and Jewish themes. The organizers of the festival try to present many different perspectives and show the diversity of modern Jewish life. Admission to all screenings of the 16th Warsaw Jewish Festival is free.
