KONWENCJA ROLNICZEK // Convention of Women Farmers

Przez dwa dni ekorolniczki z Syrii, Libanu, Meksyku, Kolumbii, Francji i Polski wymienią się wiedzą zdobytą w różnych kooperatywach i społecznościach. Ekofeministki, filozofki, badaczki i aktywistki klimatyczne będą rozmawiać o narzędziach rolniczych i metodach uprawy.

Na zakończenie (15.06, godz. 19:30) zaprezentujemy dwie części filmu Marwy Arsanios "Kto się boi ideologii?" oraz koncert zespołu Kompost (20:30). Konwencji będzie również towarzyszył chóralny komentarz Chóru Polin, stanowiący jedną ze składowych wielogłosowego manifestu dla przyszłości – utworu, który wybrzmi w całości 23 czerwca.

The effects of climate change are disastrous, yet governments and corporations ignore the problem for years and do not take any responsibility for the state of the planet. Woman Farmers act locally in various parts of the world to repair the damage. Their actions can be treated as a resistance movement, and in this sense, we want to strengthen them, learn from them and cooperate. The convention is initiated by the artist Marwa Arsanios.

The assembly will bring together women farmers from Syria, Lebanon, Mexico, India, Poland, Denmark and Greece, they will be asked to exchange knowledge around their various cooperatives and communes in general, and their agricultural tools and methodologies in particular.
The convention will unfold into public presentations (second day) and in conversation with ecofeminists, philosophers, scientists and climate activists.

The conclusion will consist of a screening of two parts of Marwa Arsanios’ film Who is afraid of ideology? (15/06 at 19:30), as well as the concert of a group Kompost (20:30). The Convention will be accompanied by the choral commentary of the Polin Choir which is one of the constituting elements of the polyphonic manifesto for the future – a musical piece that will be heard in its entirety on 23 June.
