Hi everyone, here we are to present the first exhibition in KM 0, our home gallery. In this first event we will be presenting one of the latest projects of Marcos Rodríguez Velo.

Originally from Spain, Marcos has been living in Warsaw for the last years, where he has developed his photographic career, working as a freelancer and collaborating with some magazines. His main fields of interest are portrait and fashion photography, and he also has a keen eye for street photography.

About the exhibition:
‘Reaching for the sky just to surrender’ is an attempt of tracing a mood, a situation, a place, and securing it for eternity. Sometimes, we see things for afar, sometimes from up close. Through our vision we form in our minds a representation of both a reality and an abstraction. Photography is a portrayal of a moment that is no longer present.
The images of this project were taken during a journey to the Tatra Mountains in the summer of 2016.
‘Reaching for the sky just to surrender’ focuses on the junction of humans and landscape photography. A designed reality that can look artificial and virtual.

Since the exhibition is taking place in our apartment, the space is limited and we consider that it would be convenient to make some shifts for visiting to provide every person with enough space and time to see the exhibition, have a chat and a coffee/tea.

It would be extremely helpful if you can confirm your attendance and which time is convenient for you. There’s a complete timetable with visiting hours:

Friday, 17th, March: 7pm-10pm
Saturday, 18th March: 5pm-10pm
Sunday, 19th March: 11am-4pm
Friday, 24th March: 7pm-10pm
Saturday, 25th March: 5pm-10pm
Sunday, 26th March: 11am-4pm
