W 77. rocznicę powstania w warszawskim getcie ze względu na pandemię Covid-19 nie możemy przyjść na Plac Bankowy, aby po raz trzeci upamiętnić Wielką Synagogę i uczcić pamięć zgładzonej żydowskiej społeczności miasta.

Jednak podążając za Markiem Edelmanem nie rezygnujmy, oddajmy hołd Żydom, kobietom, dzieciom, ludziom starym
i młodym, którzy odeszli w nicość, zostali zamordowani bez sensu i bez powodu.

Niech pamięć o nich trwa.

Zapraszamy na premierę projektu „Wielka Przywraca Pamięć”. Będzie to dotychczas nie emitowana animacja mappingu, czyli oryginalny materiał, który służy co roku do projekcji na warszawskim Placu Bankowym.

Będziecie Państwo mieli niepowtarzalną okazję zobaczyć oryginalny materiał wyjściowy, którzy artyści stworzyli w 2018 roku.

„Niech pamięć i ליבע miłość pokonają destrukcję i śmierć”

Zburzona przez nazistowskie Niemcy po upadku powstania w getcie warszawskim Wielka Synagoga już po raz trzeci zostanie symbolicznie odbudowana. Obraz powstającej z gruzów synagogi pojawi się na ścianie Błękitnego Wieżowca, na fasadzie budynku, który po wojnie zajął miejsce po Wielkiej Synagodze.

Z archiwalnego nagrania usłyszymy śpiew kantora tej synagogi, Gerszona Siroty, który zginął w warszawskim getcie, a fragmenty wiersza Bashert przeczyta autorka, Irena Klepsz, córka Michała – żołnierza Żydowskiej Organizacji Bojowej i działacza Bundu.

The Great Synagogue Restores Memory
19th April 2020 at 8PM (Warsaw time)

On the 77th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot come to Bank Square to commemorate the Great Synagogue for the third time and to commemorate the city's exterminated Jewish community.

However, following Marek Edelman, let us not give up, pay tribute to Jews, women, children, old and young, who have gone to nothingness, were murdered without sense and for no reason.

Let the memory of them persist.

We invite you to the premiere of the "Great Synagogue Restores Memory" project. It will be broadcasting mapping of animation, i.e. the original material that is used for projection on Bankowy Square every year in Warsaw.

You will have the unique opportunity to see the original footage that the artists created in 2018.

The premiere LIVE will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 8PM (Warsaw time) on the FB Wielka Przywraca Pamięć/ The Great Synagogue Restores Memory >> link

Livestreamed on Sunday April 19th, 2020 at 8PM Warsaw time (2 PM NYC time). Link will be announced an hour before the beginning of the event.

Projection duration - 6 minutes

The material will be available only during premiere until 9PM.

Archival recordings of the cantor of the Great Synagogue, Gerszon Sirota, who died in the Warsaw ghetto, and fragments of the poem “Bashert”, read by its author, Irena Klepfisz, daughter of Michał, a soldier of the Jewish Combat Association an active member of BUND, will be played during the ceremony.

We symbolically commemorate this year's 77th anniversary of the outbreak of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto.

The Great Synagogue, destroyed by Nazi Germany after the fall of the ghetto uprising, will be symbolically rebuilt for the third time. The image of the synagogue emerging from the rubble will appear on the wall of the Blue Tower, on the facade of the building, which took the place after the Great Synagogue after the war.

From the archival recording we will hear the song of the cantor of this synagogue, Gerszon Sirota, who died in the Warsaw ghetto, and fragments of the poem Bashert will be read by the author, Irena Klepsz, daughter of Michał - a soldier of the Jewish Combat Organization.
