Przez inkluzywność rozumiemy praktyki, które umożliwiają zwiększanie społeczności osób zajmujących się tańcem, a tym samym zachęcanie do szerszego dostępu do tańca, niezależnie od pochodzenia czy sytuacji każdej jednostki. Through Danza Movimento Naturale methodology of choreographer Giovanni Zappulla, the piece aims to highlight what human beings universally share: Love, understood as communal tension that becomes a return to inner love. It is a reflection about the potential of the human race, which celebrates its hymn to Life by dancing.
The challenge is to bring on stage dancers capable of consciously accessing altered states of consciousness, making them ultra-sensitive and highly expressive.
The project benefits from the collaboration with composer and sound designer Giuseppe Rizzo, whose experiences range from classical composition to electroacoustic research. This project integrates the collected materials, which are processed through live electronics and real time video and sound processing, a technology of sound captures and immediate sound transformation that gives life to a living and vibrant musical universe.
The artists on stage draw from the stream of consciousness, giving life to sounds, noises, songs, words and phrases that are extremely coherent with the inner landscape they are experiencing.
The CODASI Multiplier Event is a series of contemporary dance-related events, including performances, choreographic studies, and films, as well as a presentation of the final outcomes of the CODASI project (Contemporary Dance for Sustainability and Inclusion). The aim of this project is to exchange knowledge and best practices to facilitate the development of tools among European countries. Organizations involved in the CODASI project include: Dame de Pic Asbl / cie Karine Ponties / Brussels / Belgium, La Galerie Chorégraphique / Carcassonne / France, L’ESPACE APS/ASD / Zappulla DMN Company / Palermo / Italy, Foundation for Theatre Development ‘NOWA FALA’ / HOTELOKO movement makers collective, ASSOCIATION KULTURANOVA UDRUZENJE / Novi Sad / Serbia.
The project is based on two main concepts: inclusivity-social inclusion and sustainable development. Inclusivity refers to practices that enable the expansion of the dance community, thus encouraging broader access to dance, regardless of an individual’s background or circumstances. Sustainable development, on the other hand, is understood in a broad sense, taking into account human aspects (protecting the physical and mental resources of artists), economic aspects, and environmental aspects (respecting natural resources). The performances and films presented at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute align with the CODASI project’s goals.
