Zapraszamy na wystawę plakatów jazzowych Niklausa Troxlera. Na wystawie prezentujemy ok. 60 plakatów artysty. Niklaus Troxler urodził się w Willisau w Szwajcarii w 1947 roku. Studiował projektowanie graficzne w Szkole Artystycznej w Lucernie. Pracuje w szerokim zakresie dyscyplin, takich jak plakaty, książki, okładki płyt, sztuka architektury i design produktów. Jego prace znajdują się w stałych kolekcjach, m.in. w Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Nowym Jorku, Muzeum Sztuki Przemysłowej w Hamburgu, Muzeum Plakatu w Wilanowie, Muzeum Plakatu w Ogaki, czy Niemieckim Muzeum Plakatu w Folkwang Essen. Prowadzi warsztaty, wykłady i wystawy na całym świecie.
Niklaus Troxler pojawi się osobiście w dniu wernisażu wystawy 6 grudnia 2024 o godz. 17:00, w PJATK w Warszawie (Koszykowa 86). To niepowtarzalna szansa na rozmowę z tym niezwykłym artystą. Troxler spędzi w Warszawie tydzień, prowadząc dla studentów PJATK warsztaty typograficzne (9-13.12.2024).
Patronat honorowy nad wydarzeniem objęła Ambasada Szwajcarii w Polsce. Na wystawie będzie też obecny Jego Ekscelencja Ambasador Fabrice Filliez. Kuratorką wystawy jest dr Monika Marek-Łucka.

We invite you to an exhibition of jazz posters by Niklaus Troxler. The exhibition features about 60 posters by the artist. Niklaus Troxler was born in Willisau, Switzerland in 1947. He studied graphic design at the Art School of Lucerne. He works in a wide range of disciplines, such as posters, books, record sleeves, art on architecture and products. His works are in permanent collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Industrial Art in Hamburg, the Poster Museum in Wilanow, the Poster Museum in Ogaki, and the German Poster Museum in Folkwang Essen. He conducts workshops, lectures and exhibitions around the world.
Niklaus Troxler will appear in person on the day of the exhibition’s opening on December 6, 2024 at 5:00 pm, at PJATK in Warsaw (Koszykowa 86). This is a unique opportunity to talk with this extraordinary artist. Troxler will spend a week in Warsaw, leading a typography workshop for PJATK students (9-13.12.2024).
The Swiss Embassy in Poland has assumed honorary patronage of the event. His Excellency Ambassador Fabrice Filliez will also be present at the exhibition. The curator of the exhibition is Dr. Monika Marek-Łucka.
