Rzeźby francuskiej artystki Rachel Poignant przypominają formy, które znamy: muszle, kamienie albo awangardowe dzieła konstruktywistów. Są anachroniczne – nie należą do czasów, w których powstały, sięgając zarówno do zapamiętanej przeszłości, jak i wyobrażonej przyszłości. Wyglądają jak pozostałości XX-wiecznego modernizmu, wydobyte z gruzów naszego świata przez archeologów cywilizacji, które po nas nadejdą.

RACHEL POIGNANT. GENERATIONS
Sculptures made by French artist Rachel Poignant resembles forms we know: shells, stones, or the avant-garde works of the constructivists. They are anachronistic—not belonging to the times in which they originated, reaching both the remembered past as well as the imagined future. They are reminiscent of remnants of 20th century modernism extracted from the ruins of our world by archaeologists of the civilizations that will come after us.

Les sculptures de l’artiste française Rachel Poignant ressemblent aux formes que nous connaissons : des coquillages, des pierres ou des oeuvres avant-gardistes de la période constructiviste. Elles sont anachroniques – elles n’appartiennent pas à l’époque à laquelle elles ont été créées, puisqu’elles puisent aussi bien dans le passé que dans le futur imaginaire. Elles ont l’apparence des résidus du modernisme du 20ème siècle, découverts dans le débris de notre monde par des archéologues re¬présentant les civilisations qui nous succéderont.
