On 15 March 2018, the European Civilization Chair will host the debate: "Between Russian Empires. One hundred years on". The debate will be dedicated to the centennial of the Russian revolution and the ending of WWI. The debate will concentrate on the totalitarian legacy of the revolution and will analyze its consequences for Russian imperialism.

Among the debate participants will be Professor Michel DOBRY, Dr Gayle LONERGAN, Dr Nikita PETROV, Professor Serhii PLOKHII and Dr Marcel VAN HERPEN.

The debate will be preceded by the screening of a documentary on the Russian revolution entitled "Lenin, another story of the Russian Revolution" by Professor Michel DOBRY, Professor Marc FERRO and Mr Cédric TOURBE.

Programme of the evening

15:30-17:30 screening of the film "Lenin, another story of the Russian Revolution" and the commentaries by Professor DOBRY.

17:30-17:45 - Coffee break

17:45-19:15 - Discussion "Between Russian Empires. One hundred years on"

15 marca 2018 Katedra Cywilizacji Europejskiej Kolegium Europejskiego w Natolinie organizuje debatę „Między rosyjskimi imperiami. Sto lat później”. Debata poświęcona jest setnej rocznicy rewolucji rosyjskiej oraz końcowi pierwszej wojny światowej. W centrum dyskusji znajdzie się kwestia totalitarnego dziedzictwa rewolucji oraz rozpoznanie jej konsekwencji dla rosyjskiego imperializmu.

W debacie wezmą udział: Profesor Michel DOBRY, Dr Gayle LONERGAN, Dr Nikita PETROV, Profesor Serhii PLOKHII oraz Dr Marcel VAN HERPEN.

Przed debatą zostanie wyświetlony film dokumentalny pt. "Lenin. Nieznana historia rewolucji" autorstwa prof. Michela DOBREGO, prof. Marca FERRO oraz Cédrica TOURBE.
