Leica 6x7 Gallery zaprasza na projekcję fotografii w ramach „Too Tired Project”, inicjatywy Tary Wray – amerykańskiej fotografki, reżyserki filmów dokumentalnych oraz autorki publikacji „Too Tired for Sunshine”.

To Tired Project” to, powstała w 2018 roku, inicjatywa fotograficzna wspierająca osoby zmagające się z depresją. Projekt działa jako platforma kreatywnego wyrazu i budowania społeczności twórców.

Po licznych spotkaniach w amerykańskich miastach, #tootiredwarsaw to kolejna odsłona mająca na celu zgromadzenie fotografów, których zdjęcia zostaną zaprezentowane podczas spotkania w Leica 6x7 Gallery. Aby wziąć udział w projekcie, należy zamieścić na Instagramie zdjęcie odnoszące się do doświadczeń z depresją lub innymi kwestiami związanymi ze zdrowiem psychicznym, a następnie dodać hasztagi: #tootiredproject #tootiredwarsaw.
Zdjęcia można zgłaszać do 13 marca.

Spotkanie będzie miało charakter panelu, w którym udział wezmą: Tara Wray, psycholożka i artterapeutka - dr Aleksandra Chmielnicka-Plaskota, fotograf - Wojciech Grzędziński i artystka wizualna Zuzanna Szarek. Rozmowę poprowadzi Agnieszka Jucewicz.

Przy okazji spotkania odbędzie się promocja książki Tary Wray „Too Tired for Sunshine", w której autorka konfrontuje się z problemem depresji, dokumentując piękno, ciemność oraz absurd życia codziennego.

Tara Wray - ur. 1978, fotografka, pisarka i reżyserka filmowa
dr Aleksandra Chmielnicka-Plaskota - doktor nauk humanistycznych w zakresie psychologii twórczości.
Wojciech Grzędziński - ur. 1980, fotograf, fotoreporter.
Zuzanna Szarek - ur. 1984, artystka wizualna, fotografka i scenarzystka.
Agnieszka Jucewicz - dziennikarka "Wysokich Obcasów" i "Wysokich Obcasów Extra", specjalizująca się w tematach psychologicznych. Autorska książki "Czując. Rozmowy o emocjach", w której o 17 uczuciach rozmawia m.in. z Zofią Milską- Wrzosińską, prof. Bogdanem de Barbaro, Danutą Golec i psychologiem Bartłomiejem Dobroczyńskim.

Leica 6x7 Gallery invites you to the screening of photographs from the "Too Tired Project", initiative founded by photographer and film director Tara Wray.

Founded in 2018 the "Too Tired Project" is a photo initiative that helps those struggling with depression by offering a platform for collective creative expression and community. Project invites all interested photographers to share their images as they relate to their issues with mental health by using the hashtag #tootiredproject on Instagram.

After numerous meetings in American cities, #tootiredwarsaw is another edition aimed at gathering photographers whose photos will be presented during the meeting at Leica 6x7 Gallery. To take part in the project post an image on Instagram referring to experiences with depression or other issues related to mental health, and then tag it: #tootiredproject #tootiredwarsaw.
Deadline of submissions: March 13.

The meeting will have a form of a panel discussion between Tara Wray, a psychologist, and art therapist - dr Aleksandra Chmielnicka-Plaskota, photographer - Wojciech Grzędziński and visual artist Zuzanna Szarek. Discution will be moderated by Agnieszka Jucewicz.

Part of the event will be the promotion of Tara Wray's photobook “Too Tired for Sunshine” in which Tara confronts depression by documenting the beauty, darkness, and absurdity of everyday life.

Tara Wray - b. 1978, is a photographer and film director based in rural Vermont.
dr Aleksandra Chmielnicka-Plaskota - educator in Art Education Institute Academy of Special Education in Warsaw works primarily with patients of psychiatric clinics, people with mental disabilities, and with art therapy students.
Wojciech Grzędziński - b. 1980, is a polish photographer and photojournalist.
Zuzanna Szarek - b. 1984, is a visual artist, photographer and screenwriter based in Warsaw.
Agnieszka Jucewicz - polish journalist, has worked for magazines "Wysokie Obcasy" and "Wysokie Obcasy Extra". Her newest books is entitled "Czując. Rozmowy o emocjach" - "Feeling. Conversations about emotions" and is made of interviews with reknown Polish psychotherapists and psychologists about different emotions.

The event is supported by the US Embassy to Poland
