HOS gallery serdecznie zaprasza na wystawę prac dyplomowych Kai Wielowiejskiej (ur. 1987), studentki Wydziału Malarstwa warszawskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych.
Na wystawie „Ziemia” artystka zaprezentuje reliefy oraz instalację świetlną „Halo”. Kluczową rolę w pracach artystki odgrywa faktura, przypominająca ściółkę lasu, krajobraz przysypany wulkanicznym pyłem lub powierzchnię odległej planety. Artystka wykorzystuje materiały pochodzące bezpośrednio z natury; takie jak kory drzew, gałęzie, mech, zwęglone konary, ziemię i piasek. Sztukę Kai Wielowiejskiej można opisać jako abstrakcję geometryczną, artystka swoje mikroświaty i powierzchnie sugerujące ożywione habitaty zamyka w prymarnych formach koła i kwadratu. Te dwa geometryczne kształty uchodzące za perfekcyjne od czasów antycznych, funkcjonują jako symbole ładu, doskonałości i absolutu. Jest to sztuka minimalistyczna, zapraszająca do wyciszenia, ale i peregrynacji wyobraźni po nieznanych galaktykach i refleksji nad tym, co poza czasem i naszym ludzkim poznaniem.
Zwiedzających bardzo prosimy o zakrycie twarzy maseczkami i zachowanie dystansu W galerii może przebywać jednocześnie 8 osób.

The HOS gallery has the honour to invite you to the exhibition of diploma works of Kaja Wielowiejska (b. 1987), student at the Painting Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts.
At the “Earth” exhibition, the artist will present reliefs and the “Halo” light installation. The key role in the artist’s works is played by texture resembling plant litter in the forest, a landscape covered with volcanic dust or the surface of a distant planet. The artist uses materials taken directly from nature; such as tree bark, branches, moss, charred branches, soil, and sand. Kaja Wielowiejska’s art can be characterized as geometric abstraction; the artist contains her microworlds and surfaces suggestive of lively habitats in the primary forms of the circle and the square. These two geometric shapes that have been deemed perfect since ancient times function as the symbols of order, perfection, and the absolute. It is a minimalist art, inviting the viewer to calm down, but also to make peregrinations of the imagination across unknown galaxies and to reflect on what lies beyond time and our human cognition.
Visitors coming to the exhibition are kindly asked to wear face-masks and keep the rules of physical distance. Only 8 people will be able to stay in the gallery at the same time.
