On the occasion of the International Children’s Day, the Embassy of Belgium in Warsaw and film festival Docs Against Gravity invite you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Involvement of Children in Armed Conflict.
The Land of the Enlightened is a hybrid feature documentary by Pieter-Jan De Pue, a first-time director with a huge passion for the Afghan people and for the extraordinary beauty of their war-tormented country. It was filmed over a period of seven years in different regions throughout the country.
