Zapraszamy na cykl wykładów popularnonaukowych w ramach programu GEOP (the Global Education Outreach Program) z udziałem znanych badaczy historii i kultury Żydów polskich z całego świata.

Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett.

Wykład prof. Shalom Sabar „Dawne zwyczaje weselne w sztuce żydowskiej”

🔹Transmisja na kanale Muzeum POLIN na YouTube: link

🔹Językiem wykładu będzie angielski z tłumaczeniem na język polski.

Czego o historycznym żydowskim weselu mogą nas nauczyć obrazy i przedmioty? Czy ślub celebrowano w znany nam dzisiaj sposób? Kiedy, dlaczego i jakie zaszły zmiany?

What can images and objects teach about the Jewish wedding in the past? Was it celebrated in the manner known to us today? When, why, and how did changes occur? How major were the differences between the leading Jewish communities in Europe from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern period?
