Zapraszamy na kiki organizowane przez Polish Chapter House of Revlon—Mothers Madlen Revlon i Kamillę Revlon, oraz Dianę Revlon i Sinoa Revlon. The Pride Flag Kiki Night powstaje w kolaboracji z Barem Studio i będzie fantastyczną okazją do celebrowania Miesiąca Dumy w Warszawie.

Motywem przewodnim tej kiki funkcji jest flaga Progress LGBTQ+—aktualna, inkluzywna flaga naszej społeczności. Zagłębimy się razem w znaczenie poszczególnych kolorów flagi poprzez siedem ekscytujących kategorii. W pięciu z kategorii do wygrania vouchery o wartości 200 złotych do TK Maxx!

Kiki organizowane jest przez znane na międzynarodowej scenie ballroom Madlen, Kamillę, Dianę, i Sinoa. Na scenie major są polskim rozdziałem Iconic, Unforgettable, International House of Revlon, a na scenie kiki* nie są częścią żadnego domu i funkcjonują jako 007. Na swoim koncie mają liczne trofea między innymi w kategoriach performance, European runway, face, realness i sex siren.

Początki kultury ballroom są przypisywane na lata 60te i 70te ubiegłego wieku. Jest to idea bezpiecznej przestrzeni stworzona na potrzeby osób trans, queer, BIPOC przez Afroamerykańskie i Latynoskie trans kobiety z Nowego Jorku. Voguing jest jednym z elementów kultury Ballroom i pojawił się w niej w latach 80tych jako jedna z wielu kategorii. Ballroom i sztuka, jaką jest voguing, przeszły do kultury mainstreamowej dzięki teledyskowi do „Vogue” Madonny, czy takim produkcjom telewizyjnym jak „Pose” i „Legendary”.

RÓŻ/BŁĘKIT/BIEL: Na Progress fladze kolory te reprezentują osoby transpłciowe. Kategoria realness jest fundamentem ballroomu, który został założony przez Afro-American i Latinx trans-kobiety (fem queens). Realness jest kategorią przeznaczoną dla osób trans, queer, nie-hetero. To kategoria szczególnie ważna w społeczności ballroom, celebruj swoją tożsamość w kolorach trans flagi.

🖤🤎** PERFORMANCE OTA* ** (2 trophies: beginners & regular + voucher for overall) –
CZERŃ/BRĄZ: Czerń i brąz reprezentują osoby BIPOC, marginalizowane ciemnoskóre osoby LGBTQ+, oraz osoby żyjące z HIV/AIDS. Ballroom i sztukę voguingu zawdzięczamy osobom BIPOC: black, indigenous, people of color. Musimy pamiętać i nieustannie przypominać o tych korzeniach i oddawać należyty szacunek osobom, dzięki którym istnieje voguing. Zaprezentuj vogue fem, new way, lub old way ubrana w odcienie brązu i czerni.

ZIELEŃ: Zieleń na fladze oznacza ukojenie, i ozdrowienie. Jest też symbolem Matki Natury. Matka Natura jest powodem, dzięki któremu wszystkie żyjemy. Face jest jedną ze szlachetnych kategorii w ballroom i znajduje się u jego korzeni. Przyroda jest piękna tak, jak piękne są nasze twarze. Pokaż nam swoje piękno w zielonym look’u.

We have the pleasure of inviting you to a kiki organized by the Polish Chapter House of Revlon—Mothers Madlen Revlon and Kamilla Revlon with Diana Revlon and Sinoa Revlon. The Pride Flag Kiki Night, in collaboration with Bar Studio is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the Pride Month in Warsaw.

The theme of this kiki function is the Progress Pride Flag—the updated, inclusive flag of the LGBTQ+ community. Together, let’s dive in and explore the meaning behind the colors of the flag through seven exciting categories. Grand Prizes for five of the categories include 200PLN vouchers to TK Maxx!

The organizers are internationally known ballroom community members Madlen, Kamilla, Diana, and Sinoa. In the major scene, they are the Polish Chapter of the Iconic, Unforgettable, International House of Revlon, but they are 007 in the kiki* scene and are not part of any house. They have multiple Grand Prizes in such categories as performance, European runway, face, realness, and sex siren.

* The kiki scene and the major scene are two constructs within the ballroom community—the kiki scenes exists to train, educate, and prepare new and younger generations to participate in the major scene.

A ball is an extraordinary, dramatic event, during which participants battle across a plethora of categories to earn Grand Prizes. The event is a point of culmination for the ballroom community, and acts as a final showdown after long periods of preparation and training.

Ballroom is said to have its origin in the 60s and 70s, created by Latinx and African-American trans women to be a safe space of expression for trans, queer, BIPOC communities. Voguing is one of the elements of this culture, and is a part of ballroom since the 80s as one of the many categories. Ballroom and the art of voguing have become recognizable in the mainstream media thanks to Madonna’s music video to “Vogue” and such TV productions as “Pose” and “Legendary”.

CATEGORIES:
💙💗🤍**REALNESS** (1 trophy + voucher) –
PINK/BLUE/WHITE: In the Progress Pride Flag these colors represent the trans community. This category is the foundation of ballroom, as it was created by Afro-American and Latinx trans-women (fem queens).This category is meant for trans, queer, non-hetero people. Realness is especially important in ballroom, celebrate your identity dressed in the colors of the trans flag.

🖤🤎** PERFORMANCE OTA* ** (2 trophies: beginners & regular + voucher for overall) –
BLACK/BROWN: Black and brown represent the BIPOC community, marginalized LGBTQ+ people of color, and people living with HIV/AIDS. We owe voguing and ballroom to BIPOC people: black, indigenous, people of color. It is our duty to remember the very people we owe the art of voguing to, as well as pay our respects and dues to the community we owe voguing to. Showcase your vogue fem, new way, or old way skills dressed in the shades of black and brown.

💚**FACE OTA* ** (1 trophy + voucher) –
GREEN: The color green in the flag means serenity and healing. It is also a symbol of Mother Nature. Mother Nature is the reason we are all alive. Face is one of the noble categories of ballroom and lays in its roots. Nature is beautiful, just as our faces our beautiful. Show us your beauty in a green look.

💜** RUNWAY OTA* ** (2 trophies: beginners & regular + voucher for overall) –
PURPLE: Purple is a proud, noble, and royal color. Through purple flows true, pure pride, but it is also a color of serenity, confidence, and sense of self. Emergence proudly on the runway in your interpretation of purple.

❤️** SEX SIREN OTA* ** (1 trophy + voucher) –
RED: The color red represents life and the blood that flows within us. In many cultures, it is a symbol of determination and passion that originates life. Each of us has that integral, individual passion and sexual energy. Let us feel your sensuality in shades of red. Beware, the event is held in the open space in front of Bar Studio, keep your comfort in mind when preparing your outfit for this category.

🧡** HANDS VS ARMS OTA* ** (1 trophy ) –
ORANGE: Orange means fun, life, and celebration. The categories hands performance and arms control play with form of movement and energetic storytelling—showcase your skills in shades of orange.

💙** BEST DRESSED OTA* ** (1 trophy) –
BLUE: Blue symbolizes peace, calmness, serenity, and self-assurance. The clothes we wear are means of our self-expression and can give us inner peace. Show us your outfit in serene shades of blue. Warning! A bag/purse is mandatory for this category.
