🌌 Wystawa rumuńskiego artysty wizualnego Adriana Predy to podróż przez przestrzeń kosmiczną i historię – od badań nad wszechświatem po refleksję nad współczesną geopolityką 🌍. Artysta, eksplorując syntetyczny realizm, kreuje futurystyczne pejzaże i scenariusze, w których ludzkość przenosi swoje ambicje (oraz słabości) poza granice Ziemi. Jak będziemy eksploatować inne obszary, poza Ziemią w przyszłości? Czy ekspansywna polityka walki o surowce przeniesie się też na asteroidy?
🚀 W ramach wystawy Preda nawiązuje do zimnej wojny, ukazując jej niepokojące echa we współczesnym świecie. Seria „Exoglyphs” z kolei stawia pytania o cywilizacje, które mogły istnieć przed nami – czy ślady wyryte na powierzchniach planet 🌑 są formą komunikacji? Czy jedynym śladem, który przetrwa po każdej kulturze, jest sztuka? 🎨

ADRIAN PREDA - żyje i pracuje w Bukareszcie. W 2008 roku ukończył studia na Narodowym Uniwersytecie Sztuki w Bukareszcie, a część studiów zrealizował na Uniwersytecie Artystycznym w Poznaniu. W 2010 roku zdobył tytuł magistra, a w 2023 roku obronił doktorat na Narodowym Uniwersytecie Sztuki w Bukareszcie.
Jego głównym obszarem zainteresowań jest relacja między człowiekiem a innymi gatunkami królestwa zwierząt – fundamentalna więź, która kształtowała człowieka jako istotę biologiczną, od użytkowania narzędzi po przejawy duchowości i sztuki. Bada również naturę i kosmos w szerszej perspektywie, koncentrując się na historii i ewolucji, przemijaniu czasu oraz jego wpływie na istoty, przedmioty i zjawiska. Tematy te znajdują odzwierciedlenie w różnych mediach, w tym w malarstwie, grafice i obiektach rzeźbiarskich, prezentowanych na wystawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych w Rumunii i na arenie międzynarodowej. Jego prace były również częścią plenerów artystycznych, rezydencji oraz festiwali sztuki.

The exhibition of Romanian visual artist Adrian Preda is a journey through outer space and history – from the exploration of the universe to reflections on contemporary geopolitics. By exploring synthetic realism, Preda creates futuristic landscapes and scenarios where humanity extends its ambitions (and weaknesses) beyond Earth’s boundaries.
💫 How will we exploit resources beyond our planet in the future? Will the expansionist policies of resource competition extend to asteroids? 🌍🚀
In this exhibition, Preda references the Cold War, revealing its unsettling echoes in today’s world. The Exoglyphs series raises questions about civilizations that may have preceded us – are the marks engraved on planetary surfaces a form of communication? Or is art the only trace that remains after every culture? 🎨✨

ADRIAN PREDA lives and works in Bucharest. He studied at the National University of Arts, Bucharest, completing part of his studies at the University of the Arts Poznań. He obtained an MA in 2010 and a PhD in 2023 from the National University of Arts, Bucharest. His primary interest is in the relationship between humans and the other species of the animal kingdom, an essential relationship that shaped the human animal, from tool use to spiritual and artistic manifestations. He also explores nature and the cosmos in the broader scope, interested in history and evolution, the passing of time, and its effect on beings, objects, and phenomena. These themes have taken shape across various media, including painting, graphic art, and sculptural objects, showcased in solo and group exhibitions in Romania and internationally, and featured in personal and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, alongside participation in art camps, art residencies, and festivals.
