Warsaw: Destroyed and Reconstructed - a Free Walking Tour with a Certified Guide!

Hello! My name is Jakub Ziółkowski and I am a tour guide certified by the Royal Castle in Warsaw and the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK).

I would like to invite you to explore Warsaw with me - especially if you’re new to the city and would like to know more about Polish history and culture.

As you might know, Warsaw has been almost completely destroyed in World War II and then subsequently rebuilt.
I would like to show you how both of these processes - destructive and creative - shaped the capital of Poland as it is today.
We will see scars of war, non-existent tram routes, bullet holes, simulated palaces, ongoing reconstruction projects and more.

The tour will be held in English. The event is free of charge. If you decide you enjoyed the walk at the end, a tip to the guide will

Route: Arsenał - Nalewki - Pasaż Simonsa - Muzeum Niepodległości - Bielańska - Reduta Banku Polskiego - Plac Teatralny - Wierzbowa - Plac Piłsudskiego - Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - Krakowskie Przedmieście - Plac Zamkowy - Old Town Market Square - Barbakan - Freta - Długa - Plac Krasińskich
